Several Cohen & Grigsby Attorneys Appointed to New Leadership Roles
PITTSBURGH, PA – April 24, 2013 – Cohen & Grigsby, a business law firm with headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA and an office in Naples, FL, is pleased to announce that several attorneys have been elevated to leadership roles within the firm:
- Anthony Cillo has been named chair of the Litigation Group, which represents clients across the spectrum of commercial and business disputes, including business breakups, insurance coverage disputes, antitrust claims, theft of trade secret and non-compete agreements, securities law violations, accounting firm defense and shareholder issues. Throughout his career, Cillo has handled notable antitrust matters. He also focuses his practice on contract disputes, construction litigation, insurance coverage, product liability and tax-exempt litigation. He is a partner at the firm and a member of the Antitrust Litigation, Construction, and Environmental Law groups. Cillo is assuming this new role from Dan Darragh, who is stepping aside after serving as chair since 2011. Cillo will be supported by vice chair Barbara Scheib, who is assuming that role from Don Lund. A partner at the firm, Scheib will also continue in her role as leader of the firm’s talent management team.
- Mike Winterhalter has been named recruiting and hiring chair. In this role, he will oversee strategic recruiting efforts for the firm. Winterhalter is a partner at the firm and also serves as vice chair of the Business Services Group. He specializes in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and also serves as general business counsel to a number of regional and national public and private companies in a variety of industries. The firm’s former chair of the group, Christie Tillapaugh, will continue to provide leadership and direction on many of the firm’s talent management team’s initiatives.
- Noland Cheung has been selected to lead the firm’s summer associates program, which is designed to provide associates with skills and abilities that can act as a complement to their legal education, including community service and business development. Since joining the firm in March 2012, Cheung has been an integral part of many recruiting efforts. Cheung is a partner at the firm and chair of the Intellectual Property Group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of intellectual property protection and enforcement and patent, trademark and copyright law.
