Kelly is a Director in the Litigation Group experienced in a wide range of commercial litigation matters. She has frequently been part of a team representing clients in insurance coverage disputes, shareholder disputes, personal injury litigation and breach of contract cases.

Kelly has spent her entire legal career at Cohen & Grigsby, starting as a summer associate in 2008 and joining the Firm after law school in 2009.

Kelly has experience appearing in both state and federal courts. She served as lead counsel in a trial in federal court, receiving a verdict in her client’s favor and recovering the statutory maximum damage award. Since joining Cohen & Grigsby, Kelly has also second chaired a hearing in front of an administrative law judge, second chaired a commercial arbitration trial in a shareholder dispute litigation and argued a shareholder dispute appeal in front of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.

Prior to attending law school, Kelly spent four years working as an insurance claim representative where she handled insurance coverage analysis, investigated and assessed liability, negotiated and settled claims and prepared arguments and evidence for use in intercompany arbitration.

Additional Roles

Kelly is actively involved in the community. Kelly is a high school mock trial attorney advisor, working with students at Fort Cherry High School from 2010-2012 and with students at Pittsburgh Science and Technology Academy from 2013 to the present. In that role, she teaches students about the rules of evidence, proper courtroom decorum, and the anatomy of a legal case. Kelly is also a Board Member for Millvale Athletic Association, a local fastpitch softball organization.
