Bruce devotes his practice to data privacy and cybersecruity, E-commerce, international business transactions and general corporate matters. He is a corporate attorney and co-chair of the Data Security, Privacy and Information Law Group.

  • Privacy law considerations including interplay of international (e.g., EU, Canada) and U.S. privacy obligations, state breach notification laws, privacy implications of HIPAA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley and COPPA

Representative Transactions

  • Routinely advise clients on data privacy and security obligations, E-commerce contract formation,  website development agreements, internet connectivity provisioning, and hosting arrangements
  • Negotiate telecommunications procurement agreements, outsourcing agreements, and application service provider agreements
  • Negotiate and structure licensing agreements, technology development agreements, technology sharing agreements, OEM arrangements, and private labeling arrangements
  • Routinely advise clients on export control product classification (EAR and ITAR), customer, end-user and destination screening
  • Advise clients on trade embargo sanctions programs
  • Negotiates settlements for export control violations made prior to our involvement, including review of prior process and structure operations to satisfy enforcement requirements of adequate assurance of compliance on an ongoing basis
  • Routinely counsel clients on structuring export operations
  • Structure international and domestic product distribution and licensing systems that take into account the limitations imposed by local culture and law while attending to the business needs of the client
