Immigration Bulletin – US Citizenship and Immigration Services to Resume Premium Processing for All H-1B Petitions

MARCH 12, 2019 BULLETIN TO ALL IMMIGRATION CLIENTS

US Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) announced that it will reopen premium processing services for all H-1B petition effective March 12, 2019. This total resumption of premium processing services will apply to all pending and newly filed H-1B petitions, including FY20 “cap subject” petitions to be filed in April 2019.

Beginning Tuesday, March 12, 2019, petitioners and their prospective H-1B employees who have pending or newly filed “cap exempt” H-1B petitions may submit a request for premium processing of the petition. “Cap subject” petitions to be filed in April 2019 may request premium processing at the time of filing or any time after a “cap subject” has been accepted and receipted. Under the premium processing service, USCIS will take adjudicatory action (Approve, Deny, or Issue Request For Evidence) within fifteen (15) days. The current fee for premium processing is $1,410.
