On November 14, 2012, Clifford Levine, partner and attorney at Cohen & Grigsby, presented “Local Regulation of Oil and Gas Operations in Pennsylvania: Drilling through the Preemption Doctrine” at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s seminar titled “The Environment and Natural Gas Development: Various Approaches to Uncertainty and Decision-Making.”
Levine has significant experience in complex commercial and governmental litigation, including construction, land use, environmental, energy and public election law. His practice frequently combines his extensive litigation and appellate background with his political and governmental skills. He recently was recognized as one of the 100 most politically influential individuals in Pennsylvania.
In November 2012, Levine was appointed to serve as a member of the Southwestern Planning Commission (SPC), which helps to direct and coordinate state and federal transportation funding and economic development in the region.
