Our website uses “session cookies” to enable certain user experience efficiencies and functions as you travel from page to page. “Session cookies” are small pieces of information that are stored in your browser and passed back to the server whenever a request for a new page is made. The session cookie is discarded when the browser exits, when you log out of our website, or when you have not visited a page on this website for more than 20 minutes. Most web browsers automatically accept session cookies, but most browsers also allow you to configure your web browser to refuse them or to notify you before a cookie is set. Please note however that this website may not function as intended, or at all, if you refuse or delete such session cookies placed by our website.
In addition to “session cookies,” our website also seeks to place two types of “persistent” cookies, which are like session cookies as described above, but stored between browser sessions (after you exit your browser and reopen it later). As above, you may opt out of the session cookies as described below, but the website may then not function as intended.
More information on the Google Analytics cookies is available from Google at: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/cookie-usage.
Google also provides a tool that will enable you to opt-out of Google Analytics.
More information, and instructions, is available from Google here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Our website allows users to share links to our content on their social networking profiles via the third-party “ShareThis” service. ShareThis cookies are persistent cookies, and include a random unique identifier not tied to any personally identifiable information. ShareThis cookies record which sites and pages have been “shared” and advertisements that users see on subsequent sites may reflect this. On clicking the ShareThis icon, users can opt out of any tracking by ShareThis (a further cookie, st_optout, records this).
