Cohen & Grigsby, First National Insurance Agency and Grossman Yanak and Ford LLP Launch Subway Series for Regional Businesses

Inaugural Workshop on September 25th to Focus on Health Care Reform, How Businesses Can Prepare

PITTSBURGH, PA – September 10, 2012 – Cohen & Grigsby, a business law firm with headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA and an office in Naples, FL, is partnering with First National Insurance Agency, a division of First National Bank of Pennsylvania; and Grossman Yanak and Ford LLP, a regional certified public accounting and consulting firm headquartered in Pittsburgh, to empower regional businesses by providing them with greater clarity on issues that affect their operations and their bottom line. This fall, the three organizations will launch the Subway Series, an ongoing program of informative workshops that will feature speakers from all three companies. The inaugural event is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25 at PNC Park’s Hall of Fame Club.

“The Subway Series acknowledges that the mayor of Pittsburgh and other city leaders want to expand Pittsburgh’s commercial zone beyond downtown and its three rivers to both the North Shore and the South Side,” said James Chiafullo, partner at Cohen & Grigsby and one of the organizers of the Subway Series. “That is why we have decided to host the workshops on the North Shore. Attendees can hop on the T downtown free of charge, attend the seminar, and return to work with ease. The location provides plenty of parking for those who will drive in for the presentation, too.”

The September 25 workshop will focus on what employers need to know about federal health care reform. Moderator for the event is Bob Moorehead, regional president of First National Bank of Pennsylvania. Presenters include Marty Wagner and Anne Lavelle, employee benefits partners at Cohen & Grigsby; Steve Hynds, vice president of employee benefits at First National Insurance Agency; and Robert Grossman, partner at Grossman Yanak and Ford.

“Companies of every size and in every industry realize that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is a sweeping law that has far-reaching effects on how they run their businesses,” said Moorehead. “The Subway Series will arm them to make informed decisions about how to comply with this new set of laws and regulations.”

The September 25 session includes continental breakfast. Registration is required. To register, please contact Cindy Black at cblack@fn-ins.com or 412-359-2511 by Wednesday, September 19.
