Cohen & Grigsby Establishes Scholarship in Honor of J. Evans Rose, Former Partner

May 6, 2013 – Cohen & Grigsby is proud to join the University of Pittsburgh in announcing the establishment of the J. Evans Rose Jr. Prize for Public Service, which will be awarded by the Dick Thornburgh Forum for Law and Public Policy and the School of Law at Pitt.

The prize bears the name of the former Cohen & Grigsby attorney who was a partner at the firm from 1990 to 2009 and served as a member of the firm’s executive committee.

Mr. Rose died on July 20, 2012.

Cohen & Grigsby provided the initial endowment to the university that enabled the prize to be established.

Rose was a member of the board of trustees at Pitt for 26 years and was an alumnus of the school.

In May of 2013, the university will present the inaugural edition of the award to a 2013 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law whose goal is to pursue a career in public service.
