Cohen & Grigsby Attorney Appointed to Serve on Newly Re-Established Twentieth Judicial Circuit Professionalism Committee
PITTSBURGH, PA – March 13, 2012 – Cohen & Grigsby, a business law firm with offices in Pittsburgh, Pa. and Naples, Fla., is pleased to announce that attorney Jason Korn has been appointed to serve as the at-large member of the newly re-established Twentieth Judicial Circuit Professionalism Committee. Appointed by Chief Judge Jay B. Rosman, Korn was selected based on his ongoing efforts to promote and encourage professionalism within the legal community.

Korn has been actively involved locally in the area of professionalism and ethics. Last year, Korn was re-appointed by the Florida Bar to serve an additional three-year term on the Professional Ethics Committee. He previously served on the Bar’s Ethics Committee from 1999-2005, and has served since 2005. Korn was a principal drafter of the Standards of Professional Courtesy and Conduct for Lawyers Practicing in the Twentieth Judicial Circuit as well as The Peer Review Program of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit, and he later served as the Chair of the Circuit’s Peer Review Committee. Prior to this, he served as chair of the Subcommittee on Standards of Professionalism. Korn was first appointed to the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Committee on Professionalism in 1998.
Korn is a director in Cohen & Grigsby’s Litigation and Construction practice groups and has spent the majority of his 19-year legal career focusing on the areas of complex business and commercial litigation. Most recently, he was recognized by Best Lawyers in America 2012 in three categories: Commercial Litigation, Construction Law and Bet-the-Company Litigation.
