Cohen & Grigsby Appoints New Estates & Trusts Director

NAPLES, Fla. – May 9, 2016 – Business law firm Cohen & Grigsby, P.C. is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan F. Hilfiker as a director in the Naples office’s estates and trusts practice.

Mr. Hilfiker has practiced law for several decades, specializing in estates and trusts. He has been certified by The Florida Bar Board in wills, trusts and estates since 1989. Prior to joining Cohen & Grigsby, he was a partner at the firms Harter, Secrest & Emery and Garlick, Hilfiker & Swift, respectively.

He joins a team of senior practitioners with experience in a broad range of estates and trusts matters including domestic and international estate planning and administration, business succession planning, federal estate tax matters, high net worth families, and the transfer of wealth through multigenerations.

Mr. Hilfiker is a fellow of American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel and a member of the Collier County Bar Association and The Florida Bar. He received his L.L.B. from Cornell Law School, where he was a member of the board of editors for the Cornell Law Review. He is also a trustee for the University of Rochester, where he received his A.B.
