C&G Gallery Proudly Presents – Black to the Future
Cohen & Grigsby’s (C&G) newest exhibit – Black to the Future – is a collaboration among Young Black Pittsburgh, Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council (GPAC) and C&G with area artwork curated by John Ivory.
The exhibit illustrates a strong representation of young African American artists, who are a rich part of the city’s creative landscape.
“This inspiring and eye-opening artwork creates a view into the world of African American culture” Mr. Ivory said. “It’s almost as if the paintings speak to us, each telling a unique story.”
Featured artists include C.B Perry, Dominique Scaife, Jerome Link, Natiq Jalil, Jameelah Plat, Ramon Riley, Rell, Sherrie Randolf and Tiara Dinkins.
C&G director and GPAC board member, Katie Jacobs, was instrumental in coordinating the collaboration and executing the exhibit and its opening.
The exhibit is located at the C&G gallery in the firm’s office at EQT plaza, 625 Liberty Avenue. It is open through August. Please call 412-297-4900 to make an appointment to visit Black to the Future.
