Are you ready to expand your business into the global marketplace? Which markets offer good opportunities and how do you approach these markets? How do you put together your team and execute your international business plan?
Cohen & Grigsby's International Business Group wants you to know that an abundance of resources to assist with these questions are available at the second annual Western Pennsylvania International Trade Fair on May 18 and 19, 2000 at the Pittsburgh Hilton and Towers. In cooperation with the Global Trade Institute of the World Trade Center Pittsburgh, Cohen & Grigsby is pleased to be one of the main sponsors of the Trade Fair. Last year's Trade Fair was the region's must-attend international business event, and this year's event promises to be even more comprehensive Cohen & Grigsby will share its expertise in international business transactions with attendees in an effort to encourage regional companies to more actively pursue and effectively compete in the international market.
The goal of the event is to heighten exporting awareness and motivate regional companies to sell overseas. The Trade Fair will encourage export strategies by showcasing successful local exporting companies and by providing "how-to" sessions and networking opportunities. This two day event will be a 14 one-stop-shopping" event that introduces business to a wide array of suppliers, consultants, law firms, and support agencies.
Decision makers from small companies to large corporations can meet with a wide variety of helpful experts and agencies, including the foreign representatives retained by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in Canada, Chile, the Czech Republic, Japan, and Mexico, and other government officials from the U.S. Department of Commerce, state and county leaders, representatives from economic development and international business support agencies, consultants, vendors, professional service firms, transportation and distribution companies, universities, and others that provide goods and services for companies which export.
The Trade Fair includes an exposition, seminars, luncheon, CEO roundtable, networking reception and awards program. The awards dinner and networking reception features "Exporter of the Year" awards for companies identified as export leaders in their respective categories. This awards event will again serve as a stepping stone towards participation in the Governor's Export Excellence Award.
The Trade Conference portion of the event will include presentations by regional executives featuring real world advice on how to increase sales, profits and employment through exporting. A special feature of the Conference will be its focus on electronic commerce and the Internet. Other sessions will describe opportunities for specific industry segments and detailed information on target countries and regions.
The Trade Fair is the result of a collaboration among more than 70 companies and service providers, including professional service firms, consultants, translation companies, freight forwarders, universities and local support agencies. We invite you to visit the Cohen & Grigsby booth at the Trade Fair.
