Cohen & Grigsby Announces Kelleher Recertification in Business Bankruptcy Law April 24, 2002Cohen & Grigsby, P.C. announces that William E. Kelleher, Jr. has been recertified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification. Mr. Kelleher was initially certified in 1996 and has been certified each year since. In addition to satisfying rigorous requirements and passing a lengthy examination to become certified, Mr. Kelleher has since devoted at least 30 percent of practice time and at least 400 hours to bankruptcy related matters, among other recertification requirements.
William E. Kelleher, Jr. chairs the Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group. Mr. Kelleher is a specialist in business bankruptcy law, certified by the American Board of Certification. His practice concentrates on all aspects of bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, financing transactions and commercial law, as well as litigation. He earned a B.S. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 1975 and a J.D. (Law Review, associate editor) from the Duquesne University School of Law in 1979.
The American Board of Certification (“ABC”) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the public and improving the quality of the bankruptcy and creditors’ rights bars. The rigorous ABC certification standards are designed to encourage bankruptcy and creditors’ rights practitioners to strive toward excellence and to recognize those attorneys who are experts in the field.
