Cohen & Grigsby Aids Hammers, Hearts and Hope On the Hill June 7, 2002PITTSBURGH, PA - Cohen & Grigsby, P.C. assists in the "blitz building" of two low-income homes in about a week.
The blitz is the culmination of efforts by local contributors, including Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh, Hosanna Industries, Jaxon Development Company, Macedonia Baptist Church and Perkins Eastman Architects, to provide attractive affordable homes in the Hill District. The project has been dubbed "Hammers, Hearts and Hope on the Hill."
Cohen & Grigsby Partner Raymond J. Hoehler provided legal assistance to the project by working with representatives of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh, Jaxon Development Company and Macedonia Baptist Church on land and zoning issues. Ray also prepared real estate related documents and provided legal advice on real estate issues involved with the project.
"It was an extremely rewarding project to be involved with, and I'm glad that I was able to bring my legal expertise to bear on behalf of the project," says Hoehler. "To see the looks on the faces of the buyers has made it all worthwhile."
Cohen & Grigsby President, Richard R. (Chip) Nelson, II stated "The Firm is proud to be able to serve the community in such a meaningful project, which has an impact not only on the families buying the homes, but on the community as a whole."
