Cohen & Grigsby Adds Two Attorneys

PITTSBURGH, PA - Cohen & Grigsby, P.C. announces the addition of two attorneys to the Firm.

Christopher F. Farrell joins the firm as a director in the Estates and Trusts Group.  With more than 25 years of legal experience, Mr. Farrell concentrates his practice in the areas of estates and trusts administration, corporate law, personal taxation, and nonprofit corporations.  He lectures extensively and has authored numerous articles on estate planning and estate administration topics.  Chris earned his J.D. (Phi Beta Kappa; Member, University of Pittsburgh Law Review; American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in Contracts and the Law of Credit) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1976, his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University in 1989, and his B.S. (summa cum laude) from Lehigh University in 1970.  He served as a law clerk to the Honorable J. Frank McKenna, Administrative Judge of the Orphans’ Court Division, Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County.  Chris is a fellow with the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a member of the Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh and the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and American Bar Associations.  Prior to joining Cohen & Grigsby, Mr. Farrell was a partner with the law firm of Buchanan Ingersoll in Pittsburgh.  He resides in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania.

James E. Hannon, Jr. joins the firm as an associate in the Litigation Group.  Mr. Hannon concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation, including breach of contract and warranty, construction disputes, actions involving software and high tech products, and general commercial litigation.  Jim earned his J.D. (cum laude) from Cornell Law School in 1996 and his B.S. from the United States Air Force Academy in 1984.  He worked as a test engineer for General Electric Aerospace from 1990-93 and served as an officer in the United States Air Force from 1984-90.  Jim is a member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and American Bar Associations, he has authored several columns in Construction Law and Business Quarterly, and has lectured on various construction topics including issues dealing with toxic mold.  Prior to joining Cohen & Grigsby, Mr. Hannon was an associate wih the law firm of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart in Pittsburgh.  He resides in Wexford, Pennsylvania.
