Cohen & Grigsby Adds Three Attorneys April 24, 2002Michael E. Braxton joins the Litigation Group as an Associate. His practice involves general commercial litigation. Mr. Braxton earned his A.B. from Princeton University in 1990 and his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1993. Prior to joining Cohen & Grigsby, he was an associate with the firm of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae.
Katrien Hemelsoet joins the Business Group as an Associate. Her practice involves corporate and commercial matters with an emphasis on venture capital financing transactions. Ms. Hemelsoet earned her Lic. iur. (cum laude) from the University of Gent School of Law in Belgium in 1990, her masters (Criminology, magna cum laude) from the University of Gent in Belgium in 1991 and her J.D. (magna cum laude; Order of the Coif; Editor, Law Review) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1998. Prior to joining Cohen & Grigsby, she was an associate with Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue.
Barbara A. Scheib joins the Litigation Group as an Associate. Her practice is devoted to general commercial litigation, with special emphasis in publishing/media law, including defamation, copyright and advertising issues. Ms. Scheib’s interests also include products liability, employment litigation and antitrust law. Ms. Scheib earned her B.A. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1985 and her J.D. (Executive Editor, Journal of Law & Politics) from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1998. Prior to joining Cohen & Grigsby, she was an associate with the firm of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart.
