Cohen & Grigsby Adds Litigation Director February 13, 2002Pittsburgh, PA - Cohen & Grigsby, P.C. announces the addition of attorney Daniel M. Darragh, formerly of Buchanan Ingersoll. Mr. Darragh joins Cohen & Grigsby as a Director in the firm’s Litigation and Intellectual Property Groups. Prior to joining Cohen & Grigsby, Mr. Darragh was a partner with the law firm of Buchanan Ingersoll in Pittsburgh, where he chaired the Environmental Law Group.
Daniel M. Darragh has over 25 years’ experience and concentrates his practice on a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters, with an emphasis on environmental and patent litigation, including environmental claims, toxic torts, patent infringement, oil and gas lease and partnership disputes, land development restrictions, commercial contracts, insurance coverage claims, and challenges to federal and state regulatory programs and state sales tax assessments. He represents clients in the industrial, chemical manufacturing, waste disposal, and coal mining industries, among others. Dan earned his J.D. (Associate Editor, Duquesne Law Review, 1974-1975) from Duquesne University in 1975 and his B.S. in Chemistry from the College of William and Mary in 1968. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New York and before the U.S. Supreme Court; U.S. District Courts of the Western District of New York and the Western District of Pennsylvania; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second, Third, Sixth, Federal and D.C. Circuits. Mr. Darragh is a member of the Pennsylvania and New York Bar Associations. He resides in Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
