Cohen & Grigsby to Help Associated Artists of Pittsburgh Celebrate its Centennial February 2010Cohen & Grigsby will
help the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh (AAP) celebrate its centennial by
hosting a reception at the law firm’s art gallery, located inside its Pittsburgh office. The event is for invited guests and will be
held on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at
5:30 p.m. at Cohen & Grigsby’s downtown Pittsburgh offices (625 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh).
“AAP
provided the inaugural exhibit when we opened Cohen & Grigsby’s art gallery
last year, and since its debut, the gallery has promoted local artists and has
strengthened and enhanced the Pittsburgh
region’s flourishing art community,” said Jack Elliott, president and CEO of
Cohen & Grigsby. “We are pleased to help
AAP celebrate this important milestone – their centennial – through this
special event.”
“AAP
welcomes the partnership it has forged with Cohen & Grigsby, and we are
delighted to be able to celebrate our centennial with the firm,” added Kitty
Spangler, vice president of Associated Artists of Pittsburgh. “ANTHOLOGY, the exhibit on display in the
gallery since November 2009, featured the work of eight well-known local
artists affiliated AAP. The exhibit was
quite a success, and the gallery is truly a beautiful space.”
Cohen
& Grigsby’s art gallery correlates closely with the firm’s philosophy, a
“Culture of Performance.” The philosophy
speaks to the firm’s business model, ensuring that attorneys act as business
counselors as well as legal advisors while also focusing on working smarter and
more efficiently.
“A Culture of
Performance” also underscores the firm’s ongoing support of the arts in the
region. Beyond opening the firm’s
gallery to Pittsburgh-area artists, Cohen & Grigsby is the presenting
sponsor for the “Trust Presents” series, a showcase offering of the Pittsburgh
Cultural Trust that brings a variety of entertainment to the city’s Cultural
District.
