Jason Korn Serving on the Judicial Nominating Commission April 16, 2008Cohen & Grigsby Partner Jason Korn will begin serving as Chairman of the Judicial Nominating Commission for Florida’s Twentieth Judicial Circuit beginning July of 2008. Korn is currently serving as Vice-Chairman of the commission responsible for reviewing applicants for open judicial positions in Florida’s Twentieth Judicial Circuit. He was originally appointed to the commission in 2006 by Florida Governor Jeb Bush and previously served as the Circuit’s “official reporter” and liaison to the Florida Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism.
A 1991 graduate of Boston University School of Law, Mr. Korn focuses his practice on complex business and commercial litigation, including business disputes, construction and real estate disputes, and probate and trust litigation.
He also is a past president of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Collier County Bar Association, past president of the local chapter of American Inns of Court, past Chair of the Circuit’s Peer Review Committee, and past member of the Florida bar Ethics Committee. Mr. Korn was also the principal drafter of the Standards of Professional Conduct for Lawyers, adopted by the Circuit. His community involvement includes serving as Chairman of the Collier County Board of Directors for the Edison College Foundation and President-Elect of the United Way of Collier County.
