Jason Korn Appointed by Governor to Judicial Nominating Commission July 24, 2006Jason Hunter Korn, a director at Cohen & Grigsby, P.C., has been appointed by Florida Governor Jeb Bush to serve a four year term on the Judicial Nominating Commission for Florida’s Twentieth Judicial Circuit. This Circuit comprises the five counties of Southwest Florida, Collier, Lee,
Charlotte, Hendry and Glades.
The role of the Judicial Nominating Commission is to screen judicial applicants for vacancies on
Florida courts, and to recommend qualified candidates to the Governor. The Governor then appoints one of the commission’s nominees. Each Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission consists of nine members appointed by the Governor.
A 1991 graduate of Boston University School of Law, Mr. Korn received his B.A. in Economics and Management from the
University of
Michigan in 1988. His practice areas are complex business and commercial litigation, including business torts, construction and real estate disputes, probate litigation and employment litigation.
