Cohen & Grigsby, P.C. Elects Three New Partners November 15, 2002PITTSBURGH, PA – Brian S. Belanger, Matthew T. Phillips, and Christine W. Trebilcock were recently elected as Partners in the law firm of Cohen & Grigsby, P.C.
Brian S. Belanger concentrates his practice in general corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities, international business transactions, and emerging companies. Mr. Belanger received his B.A. from Bucknell University in 1990 and his J.D. (Order of the Coif; Moot Court Board) and LL.M. (International and Comparative Law) from the Duke University School of Law in 1995. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable James L. Buckley, United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, from 1995 to 1996. Brian is a council member of the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Business Law Section and is fluent in German. He resides in Squirrel Hill.
Matthew T. Phillips concentrates his practice in the areas of employment-based immigration, including temporary and permanent visas, family-based immigration, naturalization, and exclusion/deportation defense. He also has experience in civil litigation. Mr. Phillips received his B.A. (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1992 and his J.D. (magna cum laude; Order of the Coif; Moot Court Board; Managing Editor, Syracuse Law Review) from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1995. He serves as Vice Chair of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and is a member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. Matt resides in Mars.
Christine W. Trebilcock counsels clients in all aspects of protecting and enforcing intellectual property. Her practice includes U.S. and foreign patent, trademark and copyright prosecution matters and validity and infringement opinions. She also assists clients with technology transfer and licensing agreements, as well as protecting trade secrets and confidential technology. Ms. Trebilcock received her B.A. in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1991 and her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1995. She is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations, the American and Pittsburgh Intellectual Property Law Associations, and the American Chemical Society. Ms. Trebilcock is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is on the Board of Directors of Radio Information Services, currently serving as secretary. Christine resides in Mount Washington.
