Kelly R. Vehec

Kelly has represented national, regional and local clients in the areas of public finance, commercial real estate and corporate transactions over the past 15 years. She is a Director of the firm and a member of the Affordable Housing, Business, Mergers and Acquisitions, Public Finance and Real Estate Groups.

Experience

She serves as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel and borrower’s counsel in tax-exempt financings.

Kelly represents landlords, tenants and businesses in selling, purchasing, leasing and financing commercial and industrial real estate.

She also represents financial institutions in commercial lending transactions.

Honors and Achievements

Kelly was a member of the firm’s Public Finance Practice Group that was listed in The Bond Buyer’s Municipal Marketplace, commonly known as The Red Book, an industry "who’s who" of bond counsel and underwriters. The group was listed in the book in 2002 for serving as bond counsel in 2001 on $606.4 million of municipal bond issues, the second largest amount in Pennsylvania.

In addition to focusing on her practice, Kelly has taken time over the years to serve as co-author for various articles. For example, she co-wrote "Court Rules on Physician’s Duty to Non-Patients" for the Pittsburgh Hospital News and "Your Duty to Protect Non-Patients’’ for Physician’s News Digest.
