John M. Rumin

With over 34 years of experience, John focuses his career on helping clients structure or resolve complex financial matters with practical and effective solutions. He concentrates his practice on tax-exempt financing, corporate and project financing, as well as mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. John is a Director in the Business Group.

Experience

Among his various representations, John has acted as bond counsel for a government unit in a project financing secured solely by revenues of the project and he has represented borrowers and underwriters in various financing projects, including student loan bonds, airports and hospitals.

In addition, he has represented health care systems and other participants in connection with corporate transactions such as acquisitions and joint ventures and has served as counsel for creditors in workouts of financings.

Prior to joining Cohen & Grigsby, John was a Shareholder at the Pittsburgh-based firm of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney.
