Jill is a member of the Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group. She has a diverse practice with a unique blend of corporate and litigation experience that allows her to effectively assist clients with preventative planning and enforcement of creditors’ rights. She has represented secured and unsecured creditors in a wide variety of matters including preference actions, fraudulent transfer actions, dischargeability disputes, assets sales and receivership actions. Jill combines her expertise and client centric focus with an enthusiasm for the practice of law that builds strong and productive client relationships.

Background

Before her law career, Jill acted professionally and is a former member of the Screen Actors’ Guild and the Actors’ Equity Association.

Additional Roles

She is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association (“ACBA”) and a member and an officer of the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section Council of the ACBA.  Additionally, Jill is a member of the Western Pennsylvania American Bankruptcy Inn of Court (Committee member). During her professional career, she was a member of the Board of Governors for the Rivers Club, and currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Pittsburgh International Children's Theater Festival.

Honors and Achievements

Jill was named a 2010 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer "Rising Star" in Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Law. She was also honored as a 1999-2000 recipient of the Gibson Award from the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association. The award is named after the late Gerald Gibson, a longtime bankruptcy judge for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
