Chris is a Director in the Business and Tax Group at Cohen & Grigsby. For 25 years, he has been serving as trusted legal counsel and strategic business advisor to a diverse client base -- from publicly traded global Fortune 500 companies to privately held entities and wealthy individuals – across the industry spectrum in the areas of general corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. Chris has particular expertise with companies in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and chemicals industries. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for business law and in Philadelphia Magazine’s Pennsylvania Super Lawyers.
Chris’ broad portfolio of business and tax transactions includes auction-based matters, negotiated acquisitions, international joint ventures and corporate finance. He counsels clients on takeovers and various business operational issues including business formation, asset and stock sales, and business combinations. As chair of the Business & Tax Group, he manages over 50 lawyers that serve a global clientele.
Chris is actively involved in the community and serves as a member of the Nominating Committee of the Board of Directors of the Carnegie Museum of Art and a member of the Annual Gifts Committee of the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh.
