Bruce has 37 years of experience representing employers, administrators, plan fiduciaries, investment advisors and other service providers regarding various employee benefit issues and in matters arising under the Employment Retirement Income Security Act. He is a Director of the firm and a member of the ERISA and Employee Benefits, ERISA Litigation, Estates and Trusts and Labor and Employment Groups.
Bruce’s practice also involves representing clients on deferred compensation plans and Internal Revenue Code Sec. 409A compliance. He routinely provides advice on 403(b) plans and retirement and tax planning.
He is a past president of the Pittsburgh Chapter of Children’s International Summer Villages Inc. and a former member and president of the Board of Directors for the Upper St. Clair School District.
He has co-written numerous articles regarding IRS regulations, pension plans and employee benefits. In 2007, he was the co-author for three articles which appeared in the Cohen & Grigsby Review:
His articles have been published regularly in the Cohen & Grigsby Review, going back to 2005 when he co-wrote"IRS Issues Guidance on Nonqualified Deferred Compensation Plans" and "Use-It-or-Lose-It Period Extended for Cafeteria Plans."
Bruce also was a presenter at the 2007 and 2008 Cohen & Grigsby Annual Labor and Employment Law Updates.
