Hugh Nevin, former President of Cohen & Grigsby, concentrates his practice in international business and tax.  Mr. Nevin, who is fluent in German, focuses a substantial part of his practice in advising foreign enterprises and individuals investing and conducting their businesses in the United States.  In this connection, he provides income and estate tax planning for foreign nationals and secures temporary and permanent visas and labor certifications.

Hugh’s areas of emphasis include:

• Day-to-day legal requirements of businesses, including employment, sales representative, distributorship, license, and other agreements; employment termination procedures; federal and state compliance requirements; as well as the special tax and regulatory matters pertinent to foreign investors.
• Legal and tax aspects of structuring mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures.
• Income, estate and gift tax planning for foreign investors.
• Country Focus:  Germany, Canada, Austria, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.
