Ms. Trebilcock counsels clients in all aspects of protecting and enforcing intellectual property. Her practice includes U.S. and foreign patent, trademark and copyright prosecution matters and validity and infringement opinions. She also assists clients with technology transfer and licensing agreements, as well as protecting trade secrets and confidential technology.

Representative Matters- Successfully prosecuted and obtained patents throughout the world for client’s technology; subsequently defended the patents in various international oppositions.
- Established a joint collaboration for client’s development of patent technology; later designed plan to sever the collaboration while avoiding litigation.
- Successfully managed to conclusion multi-year trademark disputes initiated by a client’s competitor in the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and U.S. District Court.
- Developed and successfully executed a strategy for protecting a client’s trademarks involving obtaining cancellations of competitor’s registered marks.
- Defended client’s use of popular domain name against threats from a large company.
- Preparation and negotiation of agreements for joint ventures, software and technology development, ownership and transfer of IP and protection of confidential information.
- Preparation and negotiation of licenses for patent rights, copyrights, trademarks and trade names for public and private entities in various market sectors.
- Counseling on priority and rights to use technology and trademarks and evaluating potential conflicts or enforceability.
