C&G Academy: The Auction Process

This course will deliver an outline and overview of major steps and key issues in connection with the purchase and sale of companies, divisions and product lines using the auction process to maximize value and minimize risk. The focus will be on the seller's point of view and will cover such topics as the selection of an investment banking firm, the board's duties in connection with a sale, phases of the process, establishment and control of diligence, the auction dynamic, buyer vetting and selection, and controlling completion risks.
